Aya Cultural Arts Studio Update
Dear Aya Cultural Arts Community,
We want to share some important news with you, our valued Aya Cultural Arts family. After much reflection, we regret to inform you that we have closed our Golden Mile location. This difficult decision comes in the wake of a series of back-to-back personal emergencies that have made it challenging to sustain operations at this site.
While this marks the end of one chapter, it is not the end of Aya Cultural Arts Studio. This business has been going since 2014, formerly as Red Top Music, and has grown over time. From just music lessons in our Hyattsville, MD basement, to recording, rehearsals, classes, and sound healing in our Clarksburg studio cabin. Opening a location in Frederick served the purpose of connecting with the Frederick Community though business and arts.
We will continue African Drumming classes in Frederick at the start of our Winter Session, January 26th, through our partnership with I Believe in Me. Our other classes, events, and workshops will be to our Clarksburg studio location and other Frederick County locations. Our mission to bring cultural arts education, creativity, and community connection to the region remains strong.
We are deeply grateful to the families, businesses, non-profits, and artists who have supported Aya Cultural Arts since its beginning. You have helped us build something truly special, and we look forward to continuing to create, celebrate, and discover together in new ways and new spaces.

With gratitude and love,
Ayanna Gallant
